Steve Worley, Owner and Guide at WBFC in this video segment presents the "Foam Wing Mayfly-March Brown". The March Brown Mayfly is an important spring hatch throughout many rivers in the Pacific Northwest. This larger sized mayfly usually hatches in the early afternoon and is one that will bring big trout to the surface to feed.  The Foam Wing Mayfly is tied in two different versions. The "adult version" as well as the "emerger" version.  Both are important to have during the hatch and can be fished as a tandem setup and in most instances is encouraged to do. The Foam Wing floats incredible high, much like the natural adult, where the emerger, rides much lower in the water column and becomes a vulnerable food source for more sophiscated feeders.
