The Yakima River Salmon Season

A Yakima River King!
During the month of July 2000, a fishing season was opened on the record number of wild Chinook Salmon that returned to the Yakima.  Thousands of wild Spring Chinook Salmon came back to the Yakima River through the months of May, June and July.  This year, fishery biologist are predicting an even larger number of returning Salmon. 
You can voice your opinion on a proposed opening on the protected Upper Yakima by simply filling out the form below.  We will be keeping all the submissions and later this spring submitting them to the commissioner of the Department of Fish & Wildlife.
